Man, woman killed by crocodile in Sydney’s north-west
A man, woman and a baby were killed in a crocodile attack on a home in Sydney.
The family had been out in the backyard when a crocodiles bite and attack occurred.
“The family were out walking when they were attacked by a crocodil,” a family friend said.
“It took a couple of seconds for the croc to get out of the water.”
Witnesses saw the family members swimming and the family’s dog running away.
The couple were taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment and are now in a stable condition.
A woman was bitten by a large crocodile and later died.
Her boyfriend managed to get the family out of harm’s way, but the crocodile was still in the area.
“We’ve had people in our neighbourhood and people who work there come in and tell us that people are out here and it’s just a matter of time before somebody is killed,” a neighbour said.
Police have appealed for anyone with information about the attack to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
